Pet Sitting Spanish Holidays

Several months before we need to go away, we go on the hunt to find reliable and trustworthy pet sitters. They get the benefit of having a 'holiday' in our beautiful private nature reserve home while looking after our pets and home.

Pet sitters applying for any pet sitting with us must love animals, especially dogs and cats, as we have one dog and our cat count is around eight at any one time. That does differ when we rescue cats and foster them before they are rehomed. In the summer of 2020 and going into winter, we had 14 cats! Of course, we'd never leave them before they are rehomed, and we'd never expect a pet sitter to look after cats we are only fostering.

After a rigorous application and interview process, our pet sitters arrive a couple of days before we're due to go away so that we can have a hand-over period to show them the ropes. We are a secluded and rural retreat, so we go through everything from pet feeding to local contacts to where to shop locally. 

We love meeting people and to see their faces when they arrive at our home. They all say the same thing - our gallery images don't do the views' justice. Images can't possibly do that when the real life stunning view is in front of you!
