What Does a Pet Sitter Do?
Pet sitters provide daily care for pets while their owners are on holiday. They typically stay in the home of the owner, so the pets can remain on their familiar territory. In addition to caring for pets, they may also provide basic services for the owner, such as collecting mail and vacuuming pet hair.
Some pet sitters limit their clientele to owners of cats and dogs. Others provide care for birds, fish, small mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.
Although we have many cats and at least one dog (when there are no strays's visiting), we don't have any of those kinds of animals. Well, not that we know of!
Many pet sitters operate a regular dog walking service and offer pet sitting services on an as-needed basis when clients go out of town.
Pet Sitting Holidays
On several occasions, Secret World Retreat needs pet loving pet sitters. You'd stay in our home and look after our pets while we're away. We don't go away often, but when we do, we go on the hunt for reliable and trustworthy pet sitters.
If you'd like to join our mailing list to find out when we next need a pet sitter, you're welcome to sign up. We don't choose randomly! Instead, we have a rigorous application process whereby we ask lots of questions about your pet sitting experience, which is a requirement, plus we do several virtual interviews.
